November 29th is GivingTuesday. This special day is an opportunity for people around the world to come together and use their generosity to do great things. We look to you, our seafarer champions, to give a helping hand to these essential, yet often invisible workers.
Many seafarers will not be able to go home for the holidays to celebrate with family and friends, sharing special foods and traditions. This is just one of many sacrifices they make year-round to transport 90% of the world’s goods.
Please join the Seattle Seafarers Center in giving back to seafarers during lonely times. Donations help support our Ditty Bag Program, which gifts care packages to crews during ship visits, especially in the month of December. Your contributions will bring some holiday joy and cheer to their lives when they need it most.
This year we have a generous matching fund that DOUBLES the impact of every dollar up to $5,000. And if your employer has a matching program, your gift could be TRIPLED!
