The Mission to Seafarers is an independent non-profit corporation recognized by the IRS as an exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, and all contributions are deductible in accordance with law. Our tax ID # is 40-0000490. We rely solely on fundraising, grants and donations, and this represents an annual challenge. Our staff and team of volunteers are dedicated to meeting this challenge, but we need the help of the communities who benefit from the many sacrifices that seafarers often have to make.
Your donations will help provide gasoline and insurance for the vans which transport seafarers, portable wi-fi units for crew members who cannot leave their ships, salaries for the part-time staff and ship visitor, and many other needs.

Some of you may know us for our ditty bags! We accept donations for our ditty bags even when we aren't doing our ditty bag campaign. Whether you want to knit a hat or sew a bag, or donate a hat, or buy travel-sized necessities that we put inside of the ditty bags, please check out this link and find out all the items you are able to donate!

Donate a Vehicle
If you have a vehicle that you are thinking of trading in or selling, consider donating it to The Mission to Seafarers Donate a Car Program. When your vehicle is sold, the proceeds will go to The Mission to Seafarers to help us continue our work in serving seafarers calling at the Port of Seattle. You may also be able to deduct the fair market value of your vehicle as a charitable contribution for income tax purposes. We have partnered with Car Program, which accepts most vehicles, including cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RVs. The donation process is easy. Does your company have a United Way Workplace Giving Campaign? Did you know you can write-in The Mission to Seafarers and make contributions directly from your paycheck?
