Package Delivery and Personal Shopping
The staff of the Seattle Seafarers Center recognizes the burden seafarers carry due to the lack of shore leave. To accommodate the added challenges on crews, the Center offers limited package delivery and shopping services for merchant crews as outlined below.
If you are a crewmember of a cruise ship docking at Pier 91 in Seattle, please note that we cannot accept packages for you. All packages must be handled by the Crew Center located at Pier 91.

Package Delivery (preferred option)
If you are able to order packages directly from a vendor, you can have those delivered to our Center. We will then deliver them to you when you berth in Seattle. When you place your order with a vendor, use the following address.

[Your name] of [ship name]
c/o Seattle Seafarers Center
1011 SW Klickitat Way, Suite 209
Seattle, WA 98134

Before you schedule a delivery, please contact us and give us at least 48 hours notice to ensure someone is available to receive your package. We are unable to accept or deliver packages on Saturdays or Sundays.
Personal Shopping

For shopping request, you can place preorders with the Seattle Chandler, Teresa Bryant. Contact Teresa by phone or email (dbyrant0211@live.com or 206.240.3710). This is the preferred option.
The Center can also pre-order basic personal items for crews and then deliver those to you.
Please note that we are only providing this service to crews with no shore leave.
Guidelines for shopping requests:
-
Designate a single point of contact for the crew. This should be the ship's captain or chief mate or a designee.
-
Put all requests from the crew into a single list.
-
Please limit the number of items to 2-3 per crew member.
-
Include links to products and other relevant information (sizes, etc.).
-
We can order from Amazon, Costco, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy.
-
We will do our best to fulfill your order but may need to make substitutions based on availability of products.
-
-
Send the list to us at least two weeks before anticipated arrival.
-
No cancellations or returns, please! Make sure you only request items you definitely want. We charge extra fees for any returns, as they are difficult and expensive for us to accommodate.
-
After your order is placed, we will confirm with you about final pricing and delivery schedules.
-
Please designate one person to collect all of the money from every crew member. This should be done before we arrive.
-
Once you berth, we will deliver orders to you.

SAMPLE:
Please remember to include only basic personal necessities in your pre-order. To ensure the Center has adequate cash flow for Center operations, we are unable to order items that cost more than $500. Also, please limit the total cost of orders for a vessel to no more than $2,500 USD.

Regarding fees: The Center does not charge for these services nor do we markup any of the items crews order from us. All items are delivered at cost. However, we incur significant cost to provide this essential service to seafarers. As a result, we ask seafarers for donations to cover this service. Typically, those range from 5-10% of the total purchased on behalf of your crew.
Please help us pay for this by making a gift to support this vital service.
